Representatives from Sutton Group – First Choice Realty were at St. Marys Memorial Hospital Wednesday to present a cheque for $500 to the hospital foundation in support of its ongoing Someone I Know capital campaign. Present for the donation were, from left, Cathie Szmon, Harold McCutcheon, Sue Fowler, Marti Lindsay and hospital foundation fundraising chair Pat Craigmile.
On Wednesday afternoon, Shirley Ann Beecroft of the Holy Name of Mary Catholic Women’s League (second from left), presented a cheque for $500 to the St. Marys Salvation Army. Accepting the donation were representatives from the Salvation Army Church and Food Bank, including Major William Stanger (left), Pam McGirr (centre), Sue Mowat and Major Pamela Stanger. The money will be used to aid the Salvation Army’s family services and provide items for their Christmas Hampers. The food bank is still accepting items for the holiday season.
Kipp Edwards, (front left) from St. Marys Ford presented two cheques of $3,000 each to St. Marys Little Falls School and Hope for Haiti on Tuesday. The money was raised by Ford’s “Drive 4UR Community” event held in September. The cheque for Little Falls was accepted by Principal Helen Brockman while Tom Osgerby and Murray Mitchell accepted on behalf of Hope for Haiti. Also on hand for the presentation were students from the Kindergarten class.
