St. Marys trailed by only three points after the first quarter, but Northwestern poured on the offence as the game carried on and DCVI eventually fell 51-35. The Junior Girls won their first game Wednesday 58-8 over South Huron. The Junior Girls (6-2) are in a three-way tie for second place in HPHA standings with St. Mike’s and Goderich, although those teams have a game in hand over DCVI. First-place Northwestern is an undefeated 7-0. Also playing at home Wednesday, the Senior girls went 1-1, beating Northwestern 40-30, but falling 36-18 to South Huron.
