You can vote now!
There are officially 6 candidates running for the Federal Election in our area. They are John Nater, Conservative Part, Stephen McCotter Liberal Party, Ethan Rabidoux, NDP, Nicole Ramsdale, Green Party, Irma DeVries, Christian Heritage Party and Roger Fuhr, running as an Independent. There are two more candidates debates coming up, both sponsored by the Stratford & Area Chamber of Commerce. The first one is on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at the Stratford City Hall Auditorium starting at 6:30 pm and the second one is on Wednesday, Oct. 14 in St. Marys at the PRC, also with a starting time of 6:30 pm. The Stratford debate will be on Rogers Cable. For those who want to vote early, they can do so in Stratford at 6 Wellington Street (beside the CIBC bank) until Oct. 13. Voting hours are 9:00 am – 9:00 pm Monday –Friday, Saturdays 9:00 am – 6:00 pm and Sunday 12:00 noon – 4:00 pm. The advance polls will be open Friday, Oct. 9 right through to Monday, Oct. 12, which happens to be Thanksgiving Weekend. The times for the advance poll are 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm daily. The election is on Monday, Oct. 19 with the voting hours 9:30 am to 9:30 pm.
