The Kinsmen Club of St. Marys presented the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame with a cheque for $4,240 as part of their proceeds from the Kin Summerfest. The Little Falls Forest School program received a $5000 grant from the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation. The Foundation supports a wide range of environmental initiatives, with a primary focus on environmental education, urban greening and enhancing biodiversity, and energy conservation. The funds received will go towards the 2015-2016 school year and support the over the 200 students involved in outdoor learning this year at Little Falls Public School.

On Tuesday afternoon, the St. Marys Shuffleboard Club presented a donation of $1,000 to the St. Marys Memorial Hospital Foundation as part of the foundation’s ongoing Someone I Know capital campaign. Present for the donation were, from left, Helena Turner, Leo Turner, board member Terry Davis, secretary Pat Bailey, treasurer Suzanne Sharp, Allyson Dunseith from the Friendship Centre, George Holroyd, Norma Holroyd, Trudy Rovers, Bill Rovers, club president Ron Ferguson, foundation fundraising coordinator Krista Linklater and Dorothy Davis.
