Around 40 people came out last Saturday morning, Sept. 26, strolling, walking and running through St. Marys for the 2015 March For Warriors, organized by Fawcett Tractor Supply Ltd. Altogether through a silent auction of donated items, t-shirt sales, as well as personal and corporate donations, the march brought in almost $3,000, with all proceeds going towards the organization Wounded Warriors Canada (WWC).
“We had such a great morning,” said Elizabeth Fawcett of Fawcett Tractor, thanking everyone who participated and volunteered. “It really was a community effort.”
She said their goals with march included raising awareness, gathering the community together in support of WWC, a non-profit organization committed to providing a diverse set of programs and services for Canada’s wounded soldiers and their families, and raising money.
