The holiday season can be a difficult time for people who are grieving the death of a loved one. This is especially true if this is the first Christmas without your friend or family member.
Family Services Perth-Huron: Hospice Services has a Community Tree of Remembrance on display at the Stratford Festival Marketplace Mall now until Christmas. Everyone is invited to remember a loved one by placing a bow on the tree in his or her honour. All bows and tags are provided at the display beside the tree.
W.G. Young Funeral Home has donated a memory book that will be on the display table as well, to permit the sharing of a cherished memory of that person.
Specially trained hospice volunteers provide companionship, emotional support and respite care to individuals and their families who are living with a life-threatening or terminal illness in their own homes. All services are free of charge.
For more information regarding Hospice Services, please call Dianne Parr at Family Services Perth-Huron, 519-273-1020 or visit familyservicesperth-huron.ca.
